Heather Keller, MA, CT, M-th

Heather Keller is a multi-instrumentalist, who has been making music for most of her life. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in music, from Rutgers University. She is a celtic harpist, violinist, and a singer-songwriter who plays six and twelve-string guitar.

Heather is a Music-Thanatologist through the Chalice of Repose Project, a Certified Thanatologist (or death educator) through ADEC, the Association For Death Education & Counseling and holds a Master of Arts degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She additionally holds a Music and Leadership Improvisational Teaching Certificate from Grammy Award winner, David Darling's organization called Music for People. Over the last two decades, Heather has had the honor of composing and providing music for a wide variety of ceremonies, weddings and other joyous occasions. This work is life-affirming and showcases Heather's ability to tailor the music to highlight the unique sacredness of the moment.

Heather worked delivering music in pediatrics from 2000-2012, bringing music in many forms to hospitalized children of all ages, with an expertise in end-of-life care and delivering music at funerals and memorial services. She lives just outside of Portland, in the Columbia River Gorge.
